This work of engineering excellence was commissioned recently by one of our customers for her own forthcoming wedding.
10mm shallow dome profile Titanium ring set with 1 x 1.5ct brilliant cut diamond in a specially designed collet and flanked by 10 x 3pnt brilliant cut diamonds in a scatter pattern.
The Titanium collet for the 1.5ct diamond was machined with a lip at the top and the stone inserted from underneath then retained by a collar which was laser welded in place - (that devil's not coming out any time soon!!) It was the biggest diamond that we have ever set into a Titanium ring and our scariest job to date. In fact, unless anybody can show me different, I would stick my neck out and say that this is the biggest diamond ever to be set in a Titanium ring - so the gauntlet is down, can anybody show me a bigger one? Just for fun though don't forget!
