It’s actually easier to work with regard to machining and polishing – surface finishes are better although it does wear the tooling out faster. It is a lot stronger than commercially pure grades as you say but this gives it the disadvantage that the titanium ring resizing options are seriously reduced.

The only way we can resize aircraft grade rings is to skim the inside out to make them larger – the amount it can be resized is determined by the wall thickness of the original ring. The ability to resize can be an important issue when the ring has been bought as a wedding ring.

We tend to use aircraft grade just for tension set diamonds due to the increased stability achieved in holding the diamond more securely.

Extra scratch resistance with aircraft grade is a negligable improvement.

It’s been a horrific month health wise for the whole country I think. I still have the remains of a lingering cough and to cap it all, for the last two weeks I’ve been as deaf as a post with bunged up ears, which was finally relieved today when I went for a damn good flushing out.

Very similar to colonic irrigation (so I’m told) is ear syringing. My ears were subjected to a severe thrashing today by the doctors surgery sister who took me to within a goldleafs thickness of double perforated ear drums – I think it was only the sweat dripping off my nose that prompted her to take a look in my ears and declare that all was clear – I’ve spent the rest of the day telling everybody to stop shouting at me and my ears are so good now I can actually hear peoples thoughts – so behave yourself around me!

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever ‘Eastern European’ scam while out shopping. Simply dropping into Sainsbury’s for a bit of shopping has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don’t be naive enough to think it couldn’t happen to you or your friends.

Here’s how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking voluptuous 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the boot. They both start cleaning your windscreen. Their large firm young breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It’s impossible not to look especially with all the rain we have been having.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they’ll say ‘No’ and instead ask you for a lift to another store, in my case, Tesco in Hammersmith You agree and they both get in the backseat. On the way, they start undressing, and both get completely naked. Then, when you pull over to remonstrate, one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over your lap, kissing you, touching you intimately, and thrusting herself against you, while the other one steals your wallet!

I had my wallet stolen November 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, and 29th. Also December 1st, 4th, twice on the 6th, three times last Saturday and very likely again this coming weekend.

Top up your sprouts with one litre of Southern Comfort – allow to reduce by 10% and then drain. Throw the sprouts straight in the bin and drink the juice – just what the doctor ordered!

This is the most inhumane method of sacrificing sprouts that I have ever come across. It’s even worse than the outlawed ‘hang them from the hook of a coathanger and slit their stems with a rusty potato peeler before electrocuting them with a 220 volt sprout prod’ that was banned in the 60’s.

Ah the sixties – free love – hallucinagenic mushrooms, gawdy clothes and equally gawdy, super brightly coloured Titanium jewellery. Thank God those days are over (apart from the mushrooms of course!) Anyway, I digress.

Your comments are certain to have the RSPCS and other sprout activists choking on their lentils when they read this. Sprouts have rights too you know. The very action of rounding them up with a damp sack is only certain to cause extreme distress to the poor sprouts – much better to use a large butterfly net so that they can still see their friends. Also, throwing them live into hot water is risky in as much as the shrill cry of hundreds of sprouts all shouting “B##g#r, that’s hot!” has been known to cause irrepairable damage to the sensitive ears of humans.

Judge Dredd, if in fact you are actually a judge, I wouldn’t like to stand before you in court – I will be writing to the patron of our sprout society, Sarah Kennedy, to get you disbarred for your comments, so help me I will !!

Latest news just in……..apparently although ‘Mega Monday’ on the 8th Dec 2008 was a mammoth success for online sales, if you believe what you read then next Monday, 15th Dec, is going to be an even bigger success – ‘Mega Monday 2, The Return’ – the only trouble is, if you don’t have it in stock and it has to be made to order, it’s going to be tough to get the orders done before Christmas. Perhaps we could re-schedule Mega Monday next year to the start of December? Just a thought – watch this space!!
